Linux, JDK 1.3 and xmlBlaster (performance boost)

Hi,

i tried JDK 1.3 from Sun on Linux

(http://www.javasoft.com/j2se/1.3/)

The performance increase is about 180%,
almost doubling message throughput (using the CORBA protocol).

The server was started with

  java -server -Xms18M -Xmx32M org.xmlBlaster.Main


On SuSE 6.4 you need to apply following line as root
to avoid a java core dump:

  echo 0 > /proc/sys/vm/heap-stack-gap
